The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act introduced a fee for sponsors of self-funded health plans Research Institute (PCORI). The annual fee is assessed through 2019.
For plan years ending on or after Oct. 1, 2014, through Sept. 30, 2015, the PCORI fee has been set at $2.08 per average covered life.
