Update on Proposed SBCs

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has published April 1, 2017, as the date for use of the proposed revised Summary of Benefits and Coverage template, instructions and related materials after they are finalized.

When approved, the new documents and related material will be:

• used for open enrollment beginning on or after April 1, 2017, and
• If there is no open enrollment, they will be used on the first day of plan year beginning on or after April 1, 2017.
